PUBLIC HEALTH ALERT: 17 million gallons of raw sewage were spilled into the Santa Monica Bay on July 11-12. Currently Dockweiler State Beach and El Segundo Beach are closed to the public. The City of Los Angeles and LA County Department of Public Health are testing beaches and water in the Santa Monica Bay.

This is a developing story from Heal The Bay and we will update information as new details come to light.

When did the spill occur? The sewage spill started at 7 pm on 7/11/2021 and stopped at about 5 am on 7/12/2021. We are told by City of LA’s Bureau of Sanitation that the spill was stopped early this morning at around 5 am and all sewage is now being treated normally.

How much was spilled? We understand 17 million gallons of raw sewage were spilled through the 1-mile outfall, which is directly offshore from the Hyperion Water Reclamation Plant in El Segundo.

Which beaches are impacted? Currently Dockweiler State Beach and El Segundo Beach are closed to the public. The City of Los Angeles and LA County Department of Public Health are testing beaches and water in the Santa Monica Bay.

What should the public do to protect themselves? We recommend the public stay out of the water until further notice. Also, check the Beach Report Card for the latest ocean water quality alerts in California, and review the River Report Card for water quality information about freshwater swimming holes in Los Angeles County.

What issues does this cause to people and to ocean wildlife? Bacteria and viruses in raw sewage are extremely dangerous to people and can carry a variety of diseases. Debris such as tampons and plastic trash, when released into the Bay, can harbor bacteria and can cause entanglement of wildlife, but it seems in this case those debris were successfully filtered out of the spill before it made it to the Bay.

Why did this happen? We understand the inflow to the Hyperion plant in El Segundo was severely clogged and flooded the facility. The sewage left the facility untreated through the 1-mile pipe and outfall.

So there's this pathetic self-rightious clout-chasing Tik Toker guy that feels because he has been sober for like 15 years, that it entitles him to go around being a douchebag to people in order to get video footage of them confronting him to use on his struggling social media accounts.

Because as we all know, drama = views, and eventually views = $.

But, this scum's money comes from whoring out his wife on Only Fans. As he proudly proclaims in the video, as he also puts down people who work "9-to-5" jobs.

In the video this idiot posted (which is below), he paints himself as the all rightious victim of localism by a surfer at Malibu.

But what really happened is that the second he arrived at the parking lot at Surfrider, he tries to get himself into a confrontation over a parking spot. According to many of the comments made throughout a few of his social media accounts, getting into drama with people is something he is constantly doing.

He aggressively approaches a beachgoer with his phone filming and tries to instagate a confrontation over the beachgoer parking in the spot he claims he wanted.

A fairly well-known surfer can then be heard in the background trying to defuse the situation, calling out this scumbag for trying to instigate drama.

So then Mr. Holier-Than-Everyone goes up to the surfer to get the drama footage he so pathetically needs.

The video is like 8 minutes of this idiot trying to get a rise out of the surfer, and bragging about himself and what a social media star he thinks he is (pfffft, his follower counts are not even a high number). But at the end, he shows that when he returned to his SUV, someone wrote "Influence This Bitch" with wax on his window.

So beware surfer guy from the video, whoever you are, this Tik-Tokking-Wife-Whoring-Out-Superstar says he is going to be looking out for you at Malibu in the future.

"When I came to the beach on Friday, I saw LAPD investigating a crime scene after a man was found dead at the Venice Beach Boardwalk encampment. There was a homeless man stabbing another homeless man."

Pacific officers arrested 38-year-old Michael McClain, who was booked for the murder of 49- year old Michael Hall. Both the victim and suspect were persons homelessness men, according to police. But LAPD will probalby release him like they to everyone they arrest.

On Sunday, 70-year-old Venice Boardwalk performer, John Gavert, was attacked again by another homeless person.

Earlier this month, Gavert was attacked by Marco Harger a piece of trash homeless man who lives on the Boardwalk. He survived the attack and was back out on the Boardwalk preforming when the second attack on him happened.

The video below show some of the incident, and as expected, the now useless LAPD that handles Venice let the homeless lady that attacked him go free.

There is a Fundraiser for John Gavert now: I’m a street performer I was assaulted,

"Los Angeles is completely open, no more restrictions. Everybody enjoyed Machine Gun Kelly’s and Travis Barkers Free concert on the rooftop in Venice Beach, California. Hundreds of spectators enjoyed the great music and the fun in the sun. It was incredible to see so many people dancing and having fun."

This is an update to Arbor Security Guard Almost Killed By Homeless Man: On Tuesday, June 8, the LASD Homeless Outreach Services Team, Venice Outreach workers and several other non-profit groups started their humanitarian mission in Venice Beach. The following is the press release from the LASD Newsroom

"Law enforcement personnel are often the first contact with those experiencing homelessness. For that reason, the Homeless Outreach Service Team (HOST) was created to exemplify the county’s efforts to combat homelessness and preserve public safety. The LASD HOST’s mission is to positively impact the homeless crisis in the county while increasing public safety and preserving the rights and dignity of persons experiencing homelessness.

Sheriff Alex Villanueva visited the Venice Boardwalk recently and promised he would do everything he could to help the homeless community if local politicians failed to act regarding the homeless crisis.

On Tuesday, June 8, 2021 the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homeless Outreach Services Team (LASD HOST), the Mental Evaluation Team (LASD MET) and the Veterans Affairs Administration, Venice Outreach workers and several other non-profit groups were on Venice Boardwalk assessing the humanitarian crisis in Venice.

Deputies and service workers were on scene contacting the homeless population on the Venice Boardwalk. LASD Deputies working to help house some of the thousands of homeless individuals in LA County are on a humanitarian mission. In this exchange, we met Robert, a 76 year old Navy veteran, who has spent years living on the street.

Our HOST (Homeless Outreach Services Team) has spent many days talking to Robert, building trust & understanding. After long conversations in person, Robert finally agreed to accept services from the Department of Veteran’s Affairs.

LASD’s HOST (Homeless Outreach Services Team) & MET (Mental Evaluation) Deputies are the best at what they do showcasing everyday how leading with compassion & genuine concern makes a difference in solving this public safety crisis.

The LASD’s Homeless Outreach Services Team (HOST) continues to assist those experiencing homelessness throughout the County. Los Angeles County has established subsidies to support our most vulnerable residents, and it has proven affordable and effective. The County is redoubling efforts to combat this issue, and as part of the county family, the Sheriff’s Department is as well

Through our contacts with thousands of homeless neighbors, HOST has earned a reputation for being compassionate, accountable, innovative, and bold. HOST has transcended the role of traditional law enforcement. For years, HOST has accomplished the mission with zero uses of force."
