Mornings in Venice Beach 10/22/21 Friday. Video by Cop Watch Venice

"Park Rangers show up early to warn everyone the regular Friday clean up is coming, but don't show back up for 5 hours, hoping to catch someone slipping. But instead sit around and do nothing when everyone is gone. And a jerk park ranger told me he hates my videos showing him doing nothing and later intentionally hits me with his truck on a busy Friday afternoon on the boardwalk. And yes I'm legally allowed to ride a skateboard there and no they are not."

One of the many motorhomes parked on Rose Ave along side the Whole Foods Market at Lincoln caught fire on Saturday. No info yet on what or who caused the fire.

A dead body was discovered at just north of the Venice Pier on Saturday morning.

Reports from beachgoers are that the body appeared to have signs that it must have been in thw water for "days". Several that caught glimpses of the body said a hand was missing, and it looked like it had bites all over. One person said the eyes were gone.

There is no official statement made yet from LAPD or the Sherrif's Department, as it appeared there was no rush to figure it out. Probably because, as one Venice resident said, "it was a homeless person".

UPDATE: LASD reports it was the body of a man in his 30's and is "Too decomposed to determine how he died or how long he was dead." The body was discovered by a jogger around 8:12 a.m. The jogger called 911 and first responders pulled the body out of the water and onto the beach.

As of midday Saturday, the body was still there, under a tent, while a surf school teaches there class right next to it.

More info when it becomes avaliable.

"LAPD was out at night again moving a select few homeless people, the Park Rangers return for the regularly scheduled boardwalk sweep aka clean up and the wildest arrest we filmed yet with a man supposedly swinging a metal pole. Great job by the LAPD handling a tough situation."

"After Labor Day weekend, the beach is really slow. I just wanted to see if there’s anything going on on the boardwalk in Venice Beach during the week. There’s really nothing going on, business wise or visitors wise, It feels like the beach is dead, no business at all. Hopefully, soon it will change since Joe Biden lifted the travel band from Europe in November. One more good news, the fishing pier in Venice has finally opened."

"I noticed this homeless guy trashing the Venice Beach Boardwalk with garbage so I confronted him. It wasn't a very smart move on my part but I hate people that disrespect Venice Beach. You can see the the utter mess in the background. He threw a small metal object at the windows of Ben and Jerry's and luckily missed. He definitely came too close to me." - Video by Venice Gallerie.

"World famous and Venice local skateboarder Jesse Martinez is a true positive influence on young skaters. No longer skating professionally, he comes to the Venice Skate Park almost every morning just to clean up the area, getting the sand out of the bowls. I'm honored to know Jesse. Google: 100% skateboarder." - Video by Venice Gallerie.

"My friend Dan (seen kneeling left of subject) first saw the guy keel over. He started CPR when he couldn't find a pulse. Others called 911 previous to my arrival, which was moments after the police got there. The LAPD were heroes along with Dan. I always film LAPD. I started taking pictures of police in 1979 in Venice." - Video by Venice Gallerie.

At 11:39PM, LA Lifeguards were dispatched to a vessel that had run aground near the Venice Pier. Large south swell contributed to the vessel going ashore. Both people on board were able to self rescue without injury. Baywatch Rescue Boats and land based lifeguards were able to rig up and tow the vessel offshore this morning. Dewatering and overhaul operations were conducted by Baywatch crews due to prop damage. The vessel was successfully salvaged and towed to the marina for an emergency haul out.

"When I went to Costco, I saw flashing lights in Venice and I wonder what it was. They were shooting a music video with some really cool old cars. It’s really cool to see how they filmed the whole video."

"Today, they had a massive homeless encampment clean up behind Golds Gym in Venice Beach, California. A lot of homeless got surprised by the cleanup crew. Some did not have enough time to get all their belongings."
