Skate-bike-roll 19 miles from the Santa Monica Pier to Dive N Surf in Redondo Beach with B4BC and friends! This is a collective push for prevention with three hydration stops along the way. The morning will start at Veteran's Park in Redondo Beach where we'll load the shuttles to the Santa Monica Pier. From there we'll cruise down the coast to Arbor Venice, Marina Del Rey, Dockweiler State Beach, Hermosa Beach and finishing off at Dive N Surf for awards and celebrations.

On Saturday, August 14th, Life Rolls On host They Will Skate Again at the Venice Skatepark. They Will Skate Again is an adaptive skate clinic. Adaptive athletes of all ages come and learn how to ride a skatepark from some of the top adaptive skaters and wheelchair athletes, including Nitro Circus' Aaron "Wheelz" Fotheringham , as well as regular Venice Skatepark adaptive athletes Tracie Garacochea and Jesse Swalley

On Thursday night, Arbor's beloved security gaurd "T" asked a drunk homeless man to leave the Arbor parking lot to which the homeless man responded by hitting "T" on the head with a bottle, then stabbing him multiple times in the head and torso with the broken bottle.
Arbor's Bob Carlson said "There was blood everywhere."
Arbor staff was able to followed the homelesss man until the police arrived and arrested him. Which is surprising, as we have first hand witnessed the LAPD Pacific Division allow homeless criminals to attack people then let them go free and pretty much tell the victimns to "just aviod these people" (viewers of Shacked Instagram stories may remember the video where the lazy-ass cop tells the bleeding victimn that).
Carlson, along with pretty much everyone, is angry at what Venice has turned into, "We are on our own. We are alone in dealing with violent people who can kill you and there is nobody who is going to save you. If that had been one of my employees in our parking lot--that person would be dead"

Josh 'Bagel' Klassman is featured as a friendly, storytelling ghost in the new Netflix series "City of Ghosts" which highlights the history of Venice Beach and other LA neighborhoods that have changed over the years.
There's a new website where you can tip the skateboarders of the Venice Skatepark. Just like many of the performers along the boardwalk, you can now tip the skateboarders of the skatepark.
Free 2 Skate is a new platform that allows the crowd at the Venice Skatepark (or those watching the Venice Skate Park Live Cam ) to tip any of the skaters, with 100% of the tip going to the skater. Tip any amount, and the skateboarder will get the full amount within a couple days.
So far only a handful of skaters are listed, but if the skater you want to tip is not, upload their photo and they will track that person down.
Unlike many of the "Donate To The Venice Skatepark" scams that several people are running, where the donate money never goes to the park or the guy cleaing the park, this is legit. Free 2 Skate is developed by longtime Venice Skater Lance Lemond who also operates the Venice Skate Park Live Cam.

Sony TV is developing TV adaptation of the 2005 skateboarding film “Lords of Dogtown” , which was an adaption of the 2001 documentary "Dogtown and Z-Boys".
Described as a one-hour drama ensemble-drama, the Lords of Dogtown TV show is "set in the 1970's skateboarding scene in southern California and centers on a hell-raising teenage girl growing up in the foster care system. She falls in with a crowd of skaters who idolize the famed Zephyr Skateboard Team."
Going off that info from the press release, seems the story will not actually be about Zephyr skaters, it will be about some random skaters.
This show is being developed and written by some lady from Georgia, named Kat Candler, because who else would Hollywood get to write a TV show about California and skateboarding than a non-skater from Georgia who says she is a Texan.
Catherine Hardwicke, who directed the original movie in 2005, will slap her name on as an executive producer for the project, and the guy who made the The Shield will also be an executive producer. As of right now, seems none of the real Dogtown or Z-boys are invovle with this. And no one has been cast for any parts yet.
Seven Adams, son of Jay Adams, appears pissed off about this and is calling for a boycott of this show. Check out this screenshot from his most recent Instagram Story:

The show is going to be for Amazon‘s free streaming service, IMDb TV. It's still in the early development stage, so there's not even a release date yet.
