More than 40% of surfers say they order and buy their boards straight from their shaper, while 39% say they got their last board from a local surf shop. Not bad, considering the current e-commerce heavy landscape, and the state of "instant gratification" hubs like Amazon have perpetuated.

Taking a look at the chart above, the next most common response is from "Craigslist," which clocks in at around 7%.

Join Heal the Bay, in association with Storystation.co, for Life Aquatic -- a pop-up story event where Ocean dwellers and Storytellers come together for a night of unscripted ocean tales, musical mixes, and the passionate quest for unexpected adventure.

This is a feel-good community night of true unscripted stories scored to musical improv. We experiment with the narrative and sounds to bring stories to life.

You will experience 8 unscripted stories, 5 minutes each from ocean minded storytellers in all walks of life. Each ticket includes 3 drink tickets and light snacks.
