As the annual parade returns, we're proud to honor our community heroes, first responders during the pandemic years: healthcare, public safety & food service workers.

Saturday, July 1st: 2-3’+ for many summer spots. Top breaks 3-4’+ .
The blend of SSW Southern Hemi that peaked Friday hangs around through the start of the long weekend. W-NW windswell is expected to build a little bit though as winds over the outer waters pick up some. This should mean a little more shape at beach breaks. Average summertime spots are expected to be running thigh-waist+ high, while better summer breaks of western North LA get up to chest-shoulder high occasionally. Light-variable winds, and clean conditions for much of the morning, followed by light+ to locally moderate W-WNW onshores in the afternoon, then an easing sea breeze for many areas in the evening.
Sunday, July 2nd: 2-3′ for many summer spots. Top breaks 3-4′
SSW Southern Hemi swell continues to slowly ease and shift more southerly in angle while the small-modest NW windswell energy gains a little more traction. Average summertime spots should be running knee-waist high, while better exposures that can pick up the combo energy could see some waist-stomach high waves. Light winds, clean conditions for much of the morning across Southern California. Wind gradually trends onshore through the morning followed by a little more moderate WNW onshores in the afternoon/evening.
