The Ocean Cleanup's Interceptor 007 is up and running in Ballona Creek. Facing the first major rain event of its deployment, Interceptor 007 successfully extracted plastic and other debris to full capacity - all waste that would otherwise be heading for the Pacific Ocean right now.

The Ocean Cleanup will continue to optimize Interceptor 007 during its pilot project over the next two storm seasons. The first steps deal with minor leakage and catch management issues to increase efficiency and keep even more plastic out of the Pacific.

Mike, aka German in Venice, vlogs about daily life in Venice Beach, and the nearby communities.

"Today, I wanted to do my video about 300,000 subscribers then I found out that a German channel will filming Germany's Next top Model AT Venice Beach, California. The host of the show is no other than Heidi Klum, the supermodel and host from America's Got Talent. So I tried to get her on camera, but it started raining so hard that they abandon the shoot. But I was successful to see Heidi Klum."
