High surf advisories and warnings are out. Surf peaks today, lowers some Saturday into Sunday, then builds again Monday and Tueday, likely larger than today. Be safe out there. Even experienced surfers should check in with lifeguards before getting wet. Consider going out on a smaller day.

Large seas continue into Saturday, with another swell expected Monday into Tuesday.

A GofundMe has been started for the owner of the Prius that was smashed by a fallen rock on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.

"Many of you driving up and down PCH have probably noticed the boulder that crashed into a Toyota Prius and totaled it… That car belonged to my friend Maurice, and although he is incredibly grateful for the fact that he was not in the car when it was crushed, the reality of the loss has set in and he could use some help…

My name is Charlene and I have created this page to raise funds to cover the rental car cost, the deductible, and the difference between his insurance reimbursement and the cost of a replacement car.

The insurance he purchased on the car was the maximum he could afford, but not enough to purchase another used Prius equal to the one he lost. Additionally he did not have rental car coverage, and there is his deductible, $500 that he cannot afford at this time. Maurice is a single dad living on a fixed income. Any amount you feel inclined to contribute would be incredibly helpful and much appreciated. Thank you so much!"
