According to Surfline "the biggest south swell of the season" is coming.

Thursday, April 22nd: 3-4’ waves on average, standouts up to 4-5’+. More favorable wind for many.
WNW/NW pulse eases as fresh S swell picks up further and peaks. Average breaks are in waist-stomach high+ surf as winter/combo focal points get up around chest-shoulder high. Very long period forerunners of a solid new S swell trickle in for select breaks in the evening but will primarily build overnight. Variable to light onshore flow prevails through the first half of the morning. Wind gradually trends onshore from the S/SW, light+ SW flow through the afternoon remaining manageable for areas with some kelp/wind blockage.

Friday, April 23rd: 3-4’+ waves on average, standouts up to 5-6’+ early and larger late. Manageable morning winds.
Old S swell holds as solid, long period new S swell builds. Average breaks are in waist-chest high surf through the morning as good summer spots pull in lully shoulder-head high sets. The afternoon tide push will see size pick up several notches for decent summer exposures, with long period focal points well overhead through the later afternoon/evening. Light/variable wind prevails through the first half of the morning. Wind gradually trends onshore from the S/SW, light+ SW flow through the afternoon remaining manageable for areas with some kelp/wind blockage.Wind drops off for most regions in the evening.

"Today, on April 15, the city of Los Angeles started cleaning up the handball courts homeless encampments in Venice Beach, California. They came with the big Caterpillar and cleaned out each handball court. Now they have to disinfect the handball court and then it will be repainted."
