The Department of Beaches and Harbors presents Marina Movie Nights. Pack your picnic baskets and bring the family to Burton Chace Park on Saturday nights to enjoy our free outdoor movie screenings – by the water and under the stars!

All movies start at 8:00 pm. Be sure to bundle up!

SEATING:
Seating is festival-style, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
There is absolutely no reserved seating for the public.
Please be considerate and bring only low-back lawn/beach chairs or blankets.
No tents or umbrellas during the show.

Closest parking is located at Marina Parking Lots #77, #4 and #5.

in the Pacific Palisades area, Senior Lead Officer Brian Espin states the following crimes were reported from August 13 to 19.

August 13, 10 to 11:30 a.m., at 17000 Pacific Coast Highway. The suspects gained entry to vehicle by unknown means and fled with property.

August 13, 10:45 a.m. to 12:10 p.m., at Pacific Coast Highway. The suspect entered vehicle by unknown means, took property and fled.

August 13, 1:45 to 2:45 p.m., in the 900 block of Temescal Canyon Road. Suspects smashed the victim’s vehicle window, removed property and fled.

August 19, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., in the 17000 block of Pacific Coast Highway. The victim parked a locked vehicle near the beach. The suspects pried open the door lock and fled with property.

August 19, 9:45 a.m. to noon, in the 17700 block of Pacific Coast Highway. The victim hid the key, the suspect found it and used it to open the door and then fled with victim’s property.

August 19, 9:45 a.m. to noon in the 17700 block of Pacific Coast Highway. The suspect entered victims unlocked vehicle and fled with victim’s property.

Ocean Water Use Warning for Los Angeles County Beaches

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health cautions residents who are planning to visit the below Los Angeles County beaches to avoid swimming, surfing, and playing in ocean waters:

BEACH AREAS WARNINGS:

· Hermosa Beach Pier in Hermosa Beach

100 yards up and down the coast from the pier.

· Herondo Street Storm Drain in Hermosa Beach

100 yards up and down the coast from the storm drain.

· Inner Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro

The entire swim area.

· Malaga Cove Creek at Palos Verdes Beach

The entire swim area.

· Mothers Beach in Marina Del Rey

The entire swim area.

· Pico-Kenter storm drain at Santa Monica State Beach

100 yards up and down the coast from the storm drain.

· Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica

100 yards up and down the coast from the pier.

· Solstice Creek at Dan Blocker County Beach

The entire swim area.

· Topanga Canyon Lagoon at Topanga County Beach

100 yards up and down the coast from the lagoon.

· Windward storm drain at Venice City Beach

100 yards up and down the coast from the storm drain.

These warnings have been issued due to bacterial levels exceeding health standards when last tested.

BEACH AREAS NOW CLEARED:

Warnings have been lifted for the following beach areas where recent sample results identified water quality levels within State standards:

· Ashland Avenue Storm Drain at Santa Monica State Beach

· Malibu Lagoon at Surfrider Beach

· 28th Street Storm Drain at Manhattan County Beach.

Santa Monica Police appear to be frustrated after responding to the this scene. Trash, including furniture was left thrown all over the grass area at the beach in Santa Monica near the border of Venice which has become known as No Mans Land.
