From Santa Monica Close Up:

"On Wednesday, January 10, 2024, a critical operation unfolded at Venice Beach involving the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH). In this significant incident, the LACDMH outreach team, supported by Los Angeles Police Officers, engaged in the transportation of a homeless man to a nearby ambulance. The man, who appeared to be against his will, was carefully placed on a stretcher by approximately a dozen outreach technicians. This operation is likely a part of the rollout of the Community Assistance, Recovery, and Empowerment (CARE) Court, a part of Governor Gavin Newsom’s innovative mental health initiative."

For the low-lying coastal areas flooding can become a risk, especially with increased wave activity, which is also in the forecast for the first part of the day.

This cosmic phenomenon brings the highest tides of the year, caused by the gravitational forces of the moon and sun.
