Sarah Alden: so many roads.
She was a lover of sunrises on the east coast and sunsets on the west coast. Sarah adored her two sons, her animals, and was blessed with a refined eye for vintage jewelry which she sold on roseark.com. At 53 years old, Sarah was looking to start a new chapter in her journey; to walk a new road. Instead, her life was violently taken from her.
On April 6th, Sarah was so excited because she had just signed a one year lease in her favorite part of the United States…Venice Beach, CA. The next morning she had arranged to meet her two close friends for brunch to surprise them with the great news that she was moving to LA! The brunch never happened because Sarah was brutally attacked and with malice aforethought, on the Venice Canals at 10:30pm. Sarah sustained multiple brain injuries and was left for dead, in a coma. On Monday, May 20th, in the late afternoon, after a courageous fight to survive, Sarah was declared brain dead.
On May 24th, Sarah passed away.
In honor of something positive coming from this heartbreaking, completely unnecessary early death, Sarah’s sons have chosen to donate her organs. They hope the love of their mother can live on through the gift of life to others. Her final chapter will help others live on and continue on their road. Tragically, her two sons - young men that need your support - now look to create a memorial service and future without their mother. It has been reported via some news outlets that he is a homeless man and his last address is listed as Las Vegas, NV.
