On July 20, 2026, at approximately 12:32 a.m., Santa Monica Police Department officers responded to a report of a possible shooting in Parking Lot 1 North, located at 1550 Pacific Coast Highway.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a physical altercation occurred between two groups prior to the shooting. The circumstances leading up to the incident remain under investigation.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The suspect or suspects remain outstanding. Santa Monica Police Department detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting, and there is no additional suspect information available for release at this time.
