First Malibu raw run of Noah Fischer from this recent summer. Bombing down a short, sweet, & steep neighborhood mountain road. We thought this one would be best without music, so you can hear the wheels and pucks scraping all the way down. Enjoy!

From Frankie's Bikinis

As the summer season comes to a close, we want to head into the Fall season with a bang. The Love in Venice collection delivers an entire range of newness including six never-before-seen prints, three brand new silhouettes and a compilation of our best-selling styles in both apparel and swimwear. Inspired by the buzzing beach town that is Venice, California. Known for its bohemian spirit, funky shops, free spirited residents, and colorful streets -- our collection Love in Venice was born.

Our inspiration behind this collection comes largely from the beach and our love for the ocean -- introducing prints like our “Mowie Wowie” hot pink Hawaiian flower print (which you may have seen on Sofia Richie) and our “Sherbet” tie-dye which resembles that perfect sunset over the water on a hot day. As always, the silhouettes were designed to mix and match as you please to achieve the desired coverage and fit you are looking for. The swimwear in each print can be paired back with the apparel for an effortless beach to street look, or to simply add a little layering to your look no matter where you are.

The collection re-introduces some of our top selling swimwear like the Tavi, Tasha and Francesca sets as well as the Cash One Piece who’s silhouette sold out within 24 hours in a previous collection. Our sweatpants, cropped hoodies and sweat shorts also make an appearance in new printed fabrics, alongside our best-selling terrycloth Rose Romper and Coco Set (which you may have seen Hailey Bieber wearing recently).

Along with these top styles, we introduce three brand new terry cloth apparel silhouettes - our Canal cropped tee, Windward mini skirt, and Kinney one-shoulder dress. These pieces are so versatile and perfect for lounging around your home, throwing on to run errands, or even a cute and comfortable date night outfit.

The goal to raise funds to get Surfing Photograhper/Videographer Lou Porter some upgraded gear has been met!

Lou gives a huge thanks to everyone!

Lou shoots photos and video clips of everyone surfing Topanga, go follow her on her Instgram: @malibubarbiexoxo

If you haven't met the very much loved Lou, watch the video below:

Meet Lou Porter. A California Native, who loves the beach, surfing and sharing her stories and experiences everyone she encounters. Lou has been coming to Topanga Beach, just north of Los Angeles for years. She takes photos and videos of people surfing and posts them to Instagram and Facebook. Although not a surfer herself she has become a staple in many people's daily routines greeting them as they go in and out to surf.

Lou is committed, she follows the surf charts and on days when there is surf, makes her way from Chatsworth to the beach, a 20 mile commute over the Santa Monica mountains but when the surf is up Lou is there.

A couple of us surfers want to support Lou to get her an upgrade. We are looking to get people from the community to pool together to get her a new camera with a zoom and tripod, to support her. Most of all we want to share our appreciation and enthusiasm for her dedication to the beaches we surf at most.

Please donate!.

Photos and videos from Pepperdine Graphic:

A car chase that started in the valley ended in Malibu prompting the closure of PCH on a busy afternoon.

The chase started about 1:55 p.m. at Ventura Boulevard and DeSoto Avenue, LAPD said. The driver of a work truck hauling a trailer allegedly hit several cars along Ventura Boulevard and ran a red light. They chased this fool over the canyon and onto PCH.

Shortly before 2:30 p.m., the driver stopped again along PCH and Carbon Canyon Road, and at least six LAPD units were waiting behind.

PCH was shut down from Sweetwater Mesa to Carbon Canyon after the driver stopped.

At 3:10 p.m., officers went up to the driver’s side of the vehicle with their guns drawn and forcibly removed the shirtless man from the truck.

Multiple rescues and 1 death due to the heatwave force the closure of all hiking trails in the Santa Monica Mountains for the holiday weekend.

On Saturday evening, Malibu Search Rescue made the announcement:

"Effective immediately, we have been advised that all trails in the Santa Monica Mountains will be closed through Labor Day. We responded to several heat related rescues today, including one hiker who unfortunately perished. PLEASE DO NOT HIKE IN THIS HEATWAVE."

The Coronavirus Lockdown claims another local event.

"It is with great sadness, we announce that the Malibu Chili Cook-Off hosted by the Boys & Girls Club of Malibu will not be taking place this year."

The organizers of Malibu Chili Cook-Off recently made the announcement about the annual Labor Day Weekend Event.

"This was a very difficult decision that we hoped would come to a different outcome. 2020 has been a tumultuous year, no doubt, and with the recent spikes in cases and the near future being unpredictable, we feel this is the best decision in interest of our community’s health and safety. We have weighed all possible options, and we cannot hold an event that may further jeopardize the well-being of our community."

On Saturday, Lost Hills Sheriff reported that both eastbound lanes and #1 westbound lane of PCH closed at the Malibu Pier due to a motorcycle crashing into a vehicle. Reports say the crash was caused by the vehilce making an illegal u-turn from the shoulder.
