Casting directors are looking for cute, surfer looking guys to work on a scene filming next week in Malibu, California. Producers are seeking guys between the ages of 18 to 24 to work on the show. On Saturday, over 500 volunteers showed up at tower 28 in Santa Monica to be a part of They Will Surf Again. This Santa Monica event was the first surf stop of Life Rolls On's Get On Board 2017 Tour. They Will Surf Again is an award-winning series of bi-coastal events that empower paraplegics and quadriplegics to experience the freedom of mobility by riding a wave with the assistance of adaptive equipment and the support of hard working volunteers.

More than a day of recreational activity, They Will Surf Again also serves as an exceptional opportunity for individuals with SCI and their families to network and establish new support networks outside traditional group support settings. Founded by world champion quadriplegic surfer Jesse Billauer, Life Rolls On is dedicated to improving the quality of life for young people affected by spinal cord injury. Believing that adaptive surfing and skating could inspire infinite possibilities beyond paralysis.

Surfer Andy Davis, just opened his new solo show, EYE YI YI, at Trancas Country Market in Malibu, CA. The show features new, original paintings, limited edition prints, installations, and new products designed by Andy. Los Angeles based designer Heidi Merrick will be hosting a book signing event to celebrate Surf Shack by Nina Freudenberger at H. Merrick of California on Thursday, June 8th from 4pm to 7pm at 115 W. 9th Street.

Amazing day in Santa Monica celebrating Nick Gabaldon with Surfrider / West Los Angeles / Malibu, Black Surfers Collective, The Surf Bus Foundation, Heal the Bay and the Santa Monica Conservancy. Nick Gabaldon was the first documented surfer of African-American and Mexican descent, at the historical African American beach site, sometimes formerly called the “Inkwell”. Gabaldon’s legacy has inspired many surfers of color and many consider him as a role model.









Safe to say much stoke was once again shared! Thanks to the amazing crew at The Surf Bus Foundation, as well as Heal the Bay, Surfrider / West Los Angeles / Malibu and everyone else who volunteered their time.

Fun Size SSW/NW Swell Mix: Winds Problematic

SSW swell will linger the next several days with reinforcing energy moving in the middle to end of the work week. Meanwhile, shorter to mid period WNW-NW swells will continue to cross it up for fun size surf throughout the week. Combo exposed beach-breaks should see some nice peaks from time to time. Morning winds are lightest, but many areas will have wind issues each day.

Surfers Healing, their mission is to enrich the lives of people living with autism by exposing them to the unique experience of surfing. They had their latest event in Malibu on Saturday. The surfer volunteers are paired up with a child, they paddle out together on tandem boards and catch the waves that come their way. Here are some photos from the day.
