Venice surf legend Solo Scott and and Safe Place for Youth held their 1st annual Surf Camp for Kids on Saturday. The goal was to share the stoke with the youths. Everyone was invited to come down and participate in this free event. AQUA SURF was on hand with boards and wetsuits, along with Solo, they gave the kids full lessons, starting with the basics on the sand, then moving on into the water where the kids were able to start catching their first waves. Since she joined the World Tour of surfing as a wildcard at just 17, Stephanie Gilmore, now 29, has lived most of her life on the road. In 2016 she put down roots in the historic surf mecca of Malibu. Now the much-lauded Australian sportswoman takes us through the surfboards, trophies, art and ephemera of her "country club for mermaids".
