"I think surfers and anyone concerned about the environment will really enjoy reading it..."

This new author, Angela Savidge, has wrote a new modern day fantasy book partially set in Malibu and featuring surfing. She is offering a free ebook or paperback to those willing to post a review on Amazon.

Urban Faery: A Modern Fantasy
Desperate to reconnect with the natural world, Cate wades into the ocean at one of Malibu’s most notorious surf breaks but is unaware that a powerful swell has moved in putting her in the direct path of danger. When Cate is rescued by a mysterious surfer named Luc, an alluring Welsh renegade and a modern-day descendant of the ancient Fae race, she is propelled into a new era of self-discovery and a total re-evaluation of the world around her.

Here's 2 news reports from CBS and KTLA on the situation at Surfrider. They talk with the mayor, he says more rocks are going to be placed, but they don't address the cause of the erosion, which is shady as f*@# to us. They do mention removing the restrooms in the KTLA report. You can view both video below:

These images of Surfrider beach starting showing up on Instagram this morning. That Malibu Lagoon Restoration Project is the the cause of it. They cause the beach to errode so much, the city decide to dig up the beach and place huge boulders in front of the wall to protect it.

Here is a statement from Surfrider LA

The Surfrider Foundation is dismayed that City and County officials have chosen to drop boulders on the beach at Malibu in order to protect a historic landmark from erosion at First Point. Emergency seawalls are inevitable without proactive planning to accommodate ongoing erosion and the impacts of sea level rise. Surfrider continues to advocate for soft beach nourishment solutions at the Adamson Estate and a seasonal management program to encourage flows to exit Malibu Lagoon to the west at Third Point. We are calling on all stakeholders to come to the table and develop short- and long-term sustainable solutions that protect the beach at Malibu.
