DC hosted its first annual all women’s skate jam at Stoner Plaza in West LA yesterday, welcoming any and all ladies to come hang and battle it out for $1500 in cash. We held three separate jams on different obstacles, handing out $20s for individual tricks and $300 to the overall winners of each jam. Props to Skylar Chadwick, Isii Campos, and Amanda Castillo for taking the cake. And thanks to everyone who came out for a truly epic day at Stoner.

The Santa Monica Recreation and Parks Commission voted to close chess park due to public safety concerns from a long history of criminal activity.
Chess Park featured a collection of chess tables including a human-scale board with large pieces. The .29 acres park included 14 large tables with 4 chess boards per table, 10 small tables with 1 chess board per table and one large-scale chess set. A total of 67 chess boards were in the park."
