6th Annual Show Us Your Bum Photo and Video Contest
From day one SunBum has had this running challenge to see who can tag and snag the craziest or coolest or most hilarious photo using the SunBum logo, stickers or products. SunBum eventually made an actual contest out of it and this summer they’re gonna make it rain (don’t worry, not literally) harder than ever.

The contest kicks off on Memorial Day (May 28th) and ends on Labor Day (September 3rd). Every Monday SunBum will select weekly winner(s) of their favorite #ShowUsYourBum photo and/or video posted on Instagram. All weekly winners will receive a prize pack, be featured on the @SunBum Instagram and be automatically placed in the finals.
At the end, all weekly winners will be voted on by YOU, our social media friends. That’s right, you decide who takes home all the money.

It's almost that time of year! Once again the Black Surfers Collective, The Surf Bus Foundation, Surfrider Foundation, and other groups will offer a day of beach activities and free surf lessons to commemorate the life of Nick Gabaldon (1927 - 1951). Nick was the first documented surfer of African-American and Mexican descent, at the historical African American beach site, sometimes formerly called the "Inkwell". Gabaldon’s legacy has inspired many surfers of color and many consider him as a role model. We welcome you to join us on this special day.
Surf lessons begin at 9:00 am and end at 1:00 pm.

What better way to celebrate Mother’s Day weekend than a morning stretching, beach clean up, and surf sessions?
Come join Black Girls Surf and Team Decades for the first Southern California Soul Sista Surf Session of the year. All ages and abilities are welcome.
The Surf Bus Foundation will be there for surf lessons. Lessons will begin at 9:00 AM at Tower 22.

Black Girls Surf : Black Girls Surf supports girls/women whose career goals are competing in the professional surfing. Through, the fundraising efforts we have been able to send athletes to compete and train with professionals to ensure that they are prepared.

Join Surfrider LA and StokeShare for a special event, combining Hands Across the Sand - a national day of protest against offshore oil drilling, with StokeShare's One Watershed program introducing at-risk youth to surfing. And they need your help for the kids' event. If you have boards/wetsuits to loan or want to help kids in the water, let them know!
HANDS ACROSS THE SAND With the Trump administration's plan to open 90% of our federal waters to oil and gas development, Surfrider LA needs to keep the pressure on and let the elected officials know that we WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY NEW LEASES for offshore oil expansion in the United States.
Come to the beach in Santa Monica at Bay Street and join hands with your community and help Surfrider LA send a message to Congress.
