A vehicle traveling southbound on PCH was stopped in the left turn lane at Temescal Canyon Road across from Will Rogers State Beach, when it suddenly caught on fire. The driver and his daughter, who he was driving to school, were able to exit the vehicle and cross over safely off the highway, along with their dog. A witness who was jogging through he crosswalk at the intersection saw the fire start, she said flames started in the passenger side wheel well.
