Venice Safe Team & Venice Healer Daisy Respond to Lewd Behavior Incident

From Santa Monica Close Up:

"On Wednesday, January 7, 2024, members of the Venice Safe Team were observed escorting an individual away from the Venice Beach Boardwalk in the direction of Santa Monica. The intervention came after reports emerged of the man engaging in lewd behavior in front of women at the boardwalk. The Venice Safe Team, a unit dedicated to maintaining peace and safety in the area, followed the man as he moved from Venice into Santa Monica.

The Venice Safe Team operates daily, with winter hours set from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., and is instrumental in preserving order at Venice Beach. The team's duties are wide-ranging, covering routine patrols, engaging with the public, managing risks, and responding to various safety concerns and non-emergency incidents in cooperation with local police and emergency services. Their mandate extends to tackling issues such as trespassing, vandalism, public intoxication, and aggressive behavior, as well as ensuring adherence to local laws and policies designed to protect the well-being of both visitors and residents of Venice Beach."
