A 73 year old man died after a homeless man tried to steal his bicycle.
The victim was at Victoria Avenue and Beethoven Street with his bicyle, at 1:45PM on Wednesday, when Dylan Brumley tried to steal it from him.
They fought over it, and in the scuffle, the 73 year old man hit his head on the pavement.
The victim was taken to the hospital and Brumley was eventually taken into custody and arrested on suspicion of robbery at 2:15 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Inmate Information Center.
On Saturday morning, the victim died from the injuries cause by Brumley.
It was discovered by the internet that Dylan Brumley is a homeless man who was living at the 405/Venice homeless encampment.
In a news report on Homelessness from December 2019, Brumley is interviewed and states the he has "violent anger tendencies".

Ć straziante leggere come un semplice pomeriggio si sia trasformato in una tragedia per un uomo anziano, a causa di qualcosa di cosƬ insignificante come una bicicletta. Situazioni come questa evidenziano la complessa e dolorosa realtĆ che circonda la mancanza di una casa, la salute mentale e la sicurezza pubblica nelle aree urbane. I miei pensieri vanno alla famiglia della vittima in un momento cosƬ difficile. Leggo spesso notizie come questa nel tempo libero e poi mi rilasso guardando qualcosa su only murders in the building online.

Situazioni come questa evidenziano l'urgente necessitĆ di un migliore supporto per la salute mentale e di programmi di intervento per i senzatetto, per prevenire la violenza prima che accada. I miei pensieri vanno alla famiglia della vittima in questo momento difficile. Dopo aver letto notizie pesanti come questa, a volte mi prendo una breve pausa mentale e come partecipare a casa a prima vista per rilassarmi.
