According to Surfline, "S/SSW swell peaks Tuesday; small NW windswell lingerss."

Monday, August 10th: New S/SSW swell builds. 3-5’+ surf — largest in PM, small NW windswell mixes in. Light wind in the AM.
SSW trending S swell (195-180) is gradually building all day — expect early morning to be a slow and inconsistent with waist-chest high surf at good spots. Surf becomes a bit more consistent in the afternoon while those standout summer focal points pull in head high to slightly overhead sets by sundown. Calm to light onshore winds early — generally clean conditions early (some spots may see a touch of surface lump/bump). Winds are trending light+ onshore through the morning from the W. Light+ to locally moderate onshore winds pick up for the afternoon adding bump/texture at most spots.
Tuesday-Wednesday, August 11th-12th: S/SSW swell peaks for 3-5’+ surf. Minor NW windswell mixes in. Light wind in the AM.
Our SSW trending S swell (195-180) strongest days, look for fun-zone surf (3-4’+ faces) at the better breaks across western North LA. Standouts see head high sets at times and a couple of spots may go larger.
